The engineer of record sizes the reinforcing; our placing drawings show where each bar goes

No, we do not size the reinforcing: the engineer of record (EOR) designs it. Our rebar detailing services draw it as placing drawings and bar bending schedules.

A rebar set is four documents, drawn for every concrete element from footings to stairs

A rebar detailing set holds four documents.

01Placing drawings.
02Bar bending schedules, also called bar lists.
03Bar mark and bend shape details.
04Reinforcing sections and details.
Yes, stairs and beams are covered. The documents cover footings and foundation walls, slabs and decks, columns and walls, and beams and stairs, each detailed from the same structural design.

A job starts from the structural drawings, specifications, architectural drawings and pour sequence

The placing set follows the approval set, and both are detailed to ACI 315 and CRSI practice

Yes, the placing set waits for the approval set. The engineer or architect reviews the approval set first, and the placing set is issued once they accept it.

Both sets are detailed to the practice of the American Concrete Institute's detailing manual, ACI 315, and of the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI). We hold no membership or certification from either, and the drawings are made in whichever of AutoCAD, Revit or Tekla Structures the project requires.

Rebar sets are priced at one fixed quote and finish with a review by a lead

Quality assurance (QA) on a rebar set has three stages. The sequence is the self-check, a peer check, then the lead's final quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) review. Unlimited revisions within the agreed scope are available.
