What to send with a request
The more of these a request includes, the tighter the quote. None of them needs to be finished or tidy.

Two routes to a quote
Most jobs get a fixed quote straight from the files. A large project, or one whose scope is still open, is settled through a call and a written proposal first. Both routes fix the amount and the date before work starts.
